Who we are
LocalPixel is a digital systems studio in Vancouver, BC. We build websites, small apps, automation and practical AI tools. If you have a question about your information, email hello@localpixel.ca.
When you get in touch
Our contact form asks for your name, email address and message. We also record the page you contacted us from and delivery details so we can respond and check that your message reached us. Please leave sensitive personal or client information out of the form.
The website assistant
The optional assistant sends the messages you submit to Cloudflare Workers AI to produce a reply. Conversation history stays in this page’s memory and is cleared when you reload or leave. We do not save a chat transcript in our enquiry database. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal or confidential business information in chat.
Voice starts only when you choose Talk to LocalPixel and allow microphone access. While the call is active, audio streams to Cloudflare for speech recognition, AI replies and spoken playback. Recent messages are held temporarily for the conversation; we do not save audio recordings or voice transcripts in our enquiry database. You can mute your microphone, interrupt a reply or end the call at any time. Closing the assistant stops the call.
A necessary assistant session cookie lasts up to 24 hours. Hashed session identifiers and short-lived request counters help prevent abuse; no chat text is stored in those records. Choosing to send an enquiry uses the reviewed contact details and message below, independently of analytics consent. A meeting request does not reserve a calendar time.
The AI readiness check
Your answers are used to calculate your readiness report. Your name and email address are required to receive and view the full report. Your company name is optional. We keep the resulting report and delivery record. The saved report includes scores and recommendations; we do not keep a separate copy of your individual answers.
Requesting a report does not subscribe you to marketing. The optional checkbox is a separate choice. If you select it, we record that choice and add your contact details to our newsletter list. You can ask us to remove you at any time, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
Free business tools
The Canadian AI Policy Builder and the workflow builder’s manual editing run in your browser. An email address is required to unlock a full personalised report and its downloads. Choosing “Describe it to AI” sends your description and current workflow to Cloudflare Workers AI to create a draft. We do not save that conversation in our database. Hashed, short-lived request counters help prevent abuse. Review the AI draft before creating a report, and use roles and categories rather than confidential records.
The Website Contact Check sends the public URL you enter to our Cloudflare Worker. It retrieves a limited amount of public HTML and returns rule-based findings. It does not sign in, submit forms or scan private systems. We do not save the page itself. When you enter your email to unlock the full report, we save the findings for report delivery. Hashed request counters limit abuse.
If you select the optional Lighthouse check, we also send that public page address to Google PageSpeed Insights. Google loads the page to check mobile performance, accessibility, best practices and basic SEO. We include the returned findings in your report. Google does not receive your report email address from this check. A link to Google’s report opens a new test on its service.
When you request your free report, we save your email address, result and delivery details in our private database. Resend sends your PDF report and a saved link that works for seven days. Anyone with that link can view the result; it is not an authenticated account. Report delivery does not subscribe you to marketing. Newsletter signup is unavailable until we have configured a mailing address for marketing messages. When it is available, its unchecked checkbox is a separate choice. Only an opt-in can be sent to the newsletter list in Resend, and an existing unsubscribe is respected. Saved-tool pages do not load analytics or the website assistant.
Expired tool reports are queued for deletion in hourly batches. Links stop working at seven days even if a cleanup batch is still pending. We keep a separate, minimal tool-lead record for up to 365 days after the last report request: your email address, which tool you used, consent state, newsletter-sync state, and related dates. That list does not retain your report content. For an affirmative newsletter choice, we keep an immutable consent record with the report submission ID, email address, tool, exact consent wording and version, source, server timestamp, and mailing address shown at the time. It is kept separately from the seven-day report and 365-day operational lead record so we can honour the choice, suppression, and related requests. Contact us if you need a saved result removed sooner. If you also ask the LocalPixel team to email you about the next step, we save your name, email and a short report summary as a contact enquiry so we can reply. This is a separate, optional request. The contact enquiry follows our normal retention policy below; it is not deleted when the report link expires. You can also open the contact modal and edit the summary before sending.
Optional analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful and whether our forms work. It receives page visits, broad device and traffic information, and events such as opening a form or successfully requesting a report. We do not send your name, email, message, readiness answers or scores to Analytics. Our tracking removes query strings and page fragments from the page address it sends.
Analytics stays off until you select “Accept analytics.” You can reject it or change your choice using “Analytics preferences” in the footer. We also respect your browser’s Global Privacy Control signal. Your preference is saved in your browser. If you accept, Google Analytics uses cookies; we do not enable advertising personalization or Google Signals.
How information is handled
Cloudflare hosts this site and stores form records in a private database. Resend delivers requested emails and manages contacts who choose to join our email list. Our business inbox uses Purelymail. These providers process information needed to deliver their services, which may involve systems outside Canada.
Form submissions use HTTPS. We restrict access to records and use delivery identifiers to reduce duplicate messages. Hosting and email providers also process technical information needed to operate and protect their services, such as request and delivery logs. We do not sell personal information.
Keeping and removing information
We keep enquiries, reports and related records for as long as they are needed to respond, provide the requested service and handle legitimate business or legal obligations. There is no automatic 30-day deletion rule. Contact us to ask what we hold, correct it, withdraw your marketing consent or request deletion. We may need to confirm that the information belongs to you before making changes.
